The anandtech effect strikes again. Looks like it's up to $5 now. Oh well, still grabbed 1 year.

This was not the anandtech effect - the sale was scheduled to end on Fri 7/8. Check back on the next holiday and all the $5 mags will be $3 again.

Good price. Shame 99% of the guys at Xtreme put the knowledge of the writers of that rag to shame.

Some people are complaining it took a long time for the subscription to start, but it does say it will take 30-120 days for the sub to start.

Not to mention I subscribe to magazines for one thing: Reading on the throne.

It is pretty standard for them to give a long estimate on the magazine starting. I don't know anything about this outfit, but from past experience with magazines, they start the subscription as soon as possible.

That's where I read my mags. I sort of get lost in it and read for about 5-10 minutes.

I guess with as much as I sit on the computer, 5-10 minutes away is like a break :D

Now I worry if buying two subscriptions was a bad idea.....:frown:

Came through for a lot of us in this thread last time, I fail to see why it shouldn't come through again.

This is true. I didn't think twice when I heard what everyone was saying, but bizrate just had a bunch of horrible reviews. Bias on bizrates' side?

Plus the fact that most stores only carry the CD version of the mag which is wrapped in plastic :)

Well, I checked my order on the site, and it says that I have no subscriptions when in fact I have two. I even have the paypal info to prove the payment was confirmed. I guess I have to contact customer service. So far, off to a bad start. :|

No mags for me yet. Order placed when this thread first went up. Me and my wife put in about 4 subs altogether. Hope this wasn't a big ripoff. :(

EDIT: Just checked my account. They are all registered and due to ship no sooner than Sept. 1st.

I already get like 18 magazine subscriptions (only 3 of which I pay for).... I think that's enough.

And I already have Max PC through Dec. 2006.... ;)
