How does Sam's Club compare to Costco?

They are somewhat similar. Bulk items, special purchases, etc.

If you have one close to you the deal pretty much pays for itself if you decide you don't like Samsclub.

After becoming members of Costco (in a city about an hour away) we chose to not renew our Sam's Club membership even though they're local. I find Costco's products to be consistently less expensive and of higher quality. Worth the drive. But if you don't have a Costco within your traveling comfort zone, Sam's can be a good deal.

Sam's vs Costco. Which is better? It really depends where you are. Costco generally has more, better variety and a more consistent food quality. Sam's generally has better prices and a hell of a lot less shoppers.

I like Sam's at College Grove in San Diego, but absolutely hate Sam's in Appleton Wisconsin. In San Diego I like Costco in Mission Valley, but wouldn't go to Costco in Morena.

Costco pays and treats their employees very well. Sams Club is operated by Wal-Mart management, so.......

Sam's pays close to ave $11, not the highest in retail sales, but far from the lowest.

Which is best will vary from person to person, both have a HUGE product overlap, but maybe Costco has more premium goods.

I've never had either one refuse to let me in to look around, and sometimes you can get one day passes especially for Sam's club, go and see if they have what you want.

As mentioned there are very serious competitors for both in lesser known companies, if you are a bulk items buyer.
