Anyone got any good ideas to give my lady? She doesn't like flowers (because they die so quick) or chocolates. I've already got a couple thing in mind, but I wanted some ideas from you all!

Thanks

For my 1 year anniversary (mid Aug 2002) we're going on a vacation.

I've come to the final conclusion that hitting the mark with gifts really does come entirely from thought. Flowers/chocolate/jewlery works wonders, not if it's a default, but because through tradition it symbolizes something and if you want to pick up on that symbolism because it's precisely what you want to communicate, then it'll come off well. Otherwise, go for something a little more direct between you and her. Think back over the last year and try to remember anything she's wished she could have - remembering way back is certain to come up with a prize-winning suprise gift. Time can be a really good gift too, thinking of something unique for just the two of you to do together, remeniscint of a special date perhaps, or something new entirely. The thought that goes into your gift, handmade or storebought, makes the memory.
