Topic basically states everything - We'll be together a year on May 3rd, and I'm just about lost on ideas of what to do...

I bought her the cake topper for our wedding cake. Unfortunately we both have been too busy to do much of anything special.
 
my gf lives about 2 hours away, we both live with our family so I got a hotel room for the night 😉 Bought her a necklace, covered the bed w/ rose petals and placed the box/card in the middle of it. Took her into the room blindfolded. Then went to dinner then back to the hotel room.
 
Go to where you first met or where you had your first date or where ever you did something special. Also dinner and a gift will help.

I took my wife scuba diving on our anniversary. Might have been our 2 year though. Can't remember. Of course then the next night we went out and had a nice dinner and such.

You can always rent a nice hotel room, or prepare a fancy meal yourself. All depends on the person and what she'll like.
 
im gonna do the same thing we did on our first "date"...Go bowling in formal wear with another couple we are really good friends with. Then probably dinner, then sweet sweet love.

well good thing your opinion and hers differ eh? the day of our anniversary I worked and she had school. So she drove 2 hours down to where I was. I only had a couple of hours so I couldn't do anything more.
