I bought 4 packs myself and got crap. Was fun opening with my son though. Packs are fun just like buying real packs when you were younger (or still older like myself). It's all about getting that ONE hit (which I have yet to get my hands on....

The market will be Ok. sure there will be less people, but that will drive prices down as well. Especially if they keep the packs hot as they are currently rumored.
 
I kind of wish they included a goofy easter egg, like 1 in 1000 chance that when a flashback legend comes up to the plate Matt Vasgersian says something like, "Can you believe it?! Rod Carew is coming up to the plate! At 70 he still has what it takes to be in the majors!"
 
Jesus did the market tank. Cards are 50% of what they used to be. Now packs are POINTLESS unless they REALLY start juicing them (whcih will make the market tank even more).

A lot of the Live series were sliced in half
Seems to have stabilized though now after the weekend.
What is sad is the # of players online A LOT less than normal.
 
It's just like in real baseball where people talk way more about the early games in the NFL season and hardly even acknowledge that the MLB playoffs are going on. Oh well...
 
Yeap -- I get that.

My son and I decided not to even get Madden this year. He gets wrapped up in Madden Mobile with his buddies and I can spend enough time with MLB the show until 17 comes out probably. So I will stick with it. Will miss Madden (loved their version of DD) but just not worth the money/time when I have MLB already.

I decided too that I'm going after players I love not just "studs". Been grinding with Braves (PAINFUL) to get Eddie Mathews. Will eventually grind to get Robin Yount. Lots of throwback players I want.

PS: Harmen Killebrew is a MONSTER. I dunno why, but I can just mash with that dude.
 
I'm still on my Battle Royale kick, since I have all of the players minus rookie flashbacks and primes. I'm currently 7-0. I noticed that the DD rating window starts higher and higher the more wins you get, pretty much guaranteeing a crushing loss at some point. I can't believe the guys that can go 20-0.
 
I decided to try another 20 pack this morning. Very first pack opened had Jose Fernandez, so sick. Going for a cool 60k right now.

LOL yeah I saw that video on the TSN website forums. Too damn funny AND sad that's dead right. They really need to clean that crap up.

Yeah, that's a heart breaker. To hear what a fixture and "hero" he was to the Cuban population in Florida too -- guess I had no idea. Unbelievable. 5 months pregnant too. No drugs or alcohol involved in the crash -- just a damned shame.
