Wondering if i should use an extra module of 2 gigs, so total is 4 gigs

What is the performance advantages of 2 modules vs 1?
What is the power disadvantages?

Do you know of low power ddr3 1333 sodimm?

Battery power is very important for me
I only do light officework and surfing with few tabs

Your usage is not demanding...
Stick with 2GB and turn down the eye candy in the OS.

Agreed. Since you used the phrase "light officework" 2Gig is fine. It is when the term "heavy(er), you may want to bump it up to 4.

Extra RAM would mean hitting the HD less, so it could save power in the end.

What about replacing the single 2GB DIMM with a 4GB DIMM, rather than adding another 2GB?

Low power are available:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=1.35V+DDR3+SODIMM

Check for compatibility (Qualified Vendors List) with Dell, Crucial,... Also, how the timings and lower voltage will be handled -automatically or by manual BIOS setting and so on.

2GB should be sufficient and presumably a single module will draw the least power and not noticeably affect performance versus dual-channel.
