In indian culture it is very common for males to dance very erotically (gayly) with each other... its a way to pick up chicks...

saw it on some discovery channel or something or another documentary

How come every single non-bald Indian male has the same 40-year-old Virgin haircut?

And now I'm just going to stick my thumb up his butthole, and that's really going to piss him off!

if it's not Daler Mendhi I'm not clicking

I actually had the "pleasure" of working with Daler Mendhi a couple years back. I was working at a concert venue that his "Sha ra ra ra" tour was visiting. As of the day of the performance, he had sold about 100 out of 5000 seats. We urged him to cancel the show and refund ticket sales, because both we and him would be out tons of cash. He persevered though, and actually got a surprisingly large walk up crowd at the last minute. All in all around 500-1000 people. Then, he refused to go on for about 2 hours because he hadn't been payed yet, apparently at the last gig the promoter ran off with the cash from ticket sales and he never got paid. Finally after the promoter managed to get him paid, he "sang" for about 4 hours strait. His singing consisted of high pitched shrieking and painful whistling into the microphone. I still have a poster from the show, and I'll treasure it for ever.

Chak de phatte!

Do you think being a diva is a western idea?

Also some traditional indian dances seperate the men and the women. So what?

Indian culture is too complex to be explained in one thread or to be summoned to be understood in one video. Pity on people who can on take some things as they are rather than passing comments or making judgements.
