1 reason to eat Papa John's...

Out of the three major pizza delivery chains, Papa John's has the best pizza. Pizza Hut isn't terrible, but it is always way more expensive since they never have any good deals going on, and I much prefer Papa John's anyways.

Domino's was better immediately after they "relaunched" themselves four or five years go, but within 6 months they started making the shittiest pizza on the planet yet again. I really question how pizza could be made to taste so fucking bad.

I would try them if I could, but I don't think they would deliver one all the way up here.

If you guys don't eat papa, what do you eat?

There is a good local place called Two Brothers from Italy. They have excellent lasagna too! It is a local chain with I think 3 locations in North County San Diego.

My wife and I had a Christmas party at our house in December and had about 30 people attend so we catered from Two Brothers. A full tray of lasagna, a half tray of baked ziti and a half tray of tortellini with pesto sauce. It was fantastic!

I bought a papa millionaire's pizza once right after they opened here, it was probably close to 15 years ago and the pizza was utter shit. The crust was like cardboard and it just had no flavor. I've never ordered a pizza from them again.

You could probably have someone order you a Dominos pizza and ship it via 6 week freight shipping. There's no way it could taste worse when it gets to you.

Good job to the driver.

But as far as PJ's decision, too little too late. It would be like Hitler walking an old jewish lady across the street right before he committed suicide.

I confess I ate at Papa's once. It was fairly awful. I rate Little C higher than Papa because while their pizza is meh, their pricing at least is good. John's has neither going for them. Fortunately for me there's a little family run pizza place about 200 feet from home that is clearly superior to both of them. Their $5 small ($7.00 delivered) when you pickup promotion every day is like getting a comparabley priced and sized little C pizza but with higher quality.

If I had to pick the best of the chains however, I'd have to go with pizza hut. Their $7.99 deal for a large and two toppings is much more pizza for your money than the $5 cheese Little C offers, and a slight bump in (frozen) quality. There are a lot of hits and misses in their new lineup of pies and crust flavors, but if you stick with the hits, for the money, it's the best national chain in my opinion.

If this is a reason for you to eat at papa johns then I'll open a gunstore/pizzaria/subshop called second amendment subs & pizza and be a gajillionaire.

you shut your whore mouth! you shut it now!

so which pizza chain you think is better than PPJ?

Their sauce is too sweet, crust is terrible, and they use crap ingredients. The question is, who is worse? I would say Dominos and Pizza Hut. But not by much.

Domino's stepped up their game a few years back, I prefer them over PJ now. Domino's wings are terribad tho.

The best thing at pizza hut is the breadsticks ^_^

I don't understand how Pizza Hut has a monopoly on stuffed crust. I do that shit myself at home, and it is amazing. It can be done so much better than they are doing it.

Well, the only family owned joint next to me is a Johnny's Pizza. I only have the option between that, Papa, Dominos, and Pizza Hut. All this talk about pizza is making me want to order some. Going to order Papa Johns right now. Really, I am. I'll take a picture for you guys when it gets here to make people reading this thread hungry.

lol, wow I really love Papa Johns. I think they are the best. Is there a place in Dallas or Houston that's better than Papa? I want to know what real pizza tastes like.

Just ordered this. lol
Yummmmm

Lemme help. First, it is some local place that no one but him has ever heard of. Second, they probably have some kind of bullshit "artisanal" or masturbatory dough process that was brought from the "old country" through Staten Island at the turn of last century. Then, the tomatoes are some kind of hand cultivated, sunlight jizzed version that they leave the bird shit on to add "full flavor" to the sauce. Finally, the cheese is "hand crafted" from rare, albino bulls and aged for 2.742 years in a special cellar in a basement where some asshole dances and tells people to put lotion on their skin or get the hose again.

ATOT foodies piss me off more than just about anyone else.

Not an easy thing to do in Texas. Same thing with cheese steaks and subs. I moved down here from the northeast, where I was spoiled by real Italian pizzerias.

I would look for places that advertise authentic New York style pizza.

Actually its just a shitty chain that makes bad pizza.

Actually for a chain-store pizza it's pretty decent IMO. Yea, there is always local joints that will make a better pie than a national chain but PJ is well above Domino's, Pizza hut IMO..

I wouldn't eat pizza from any of those places quite frankly.
