1 PC, 2 ISP + Virtual Machine = problems HELP!

Ok heres what im trying to do. I have Windows 7, using Asus P8P67 Deluxe motherboard. It has 2 NIC built in. I have Cable internet as well as a DSL connection. Im wanting to use the Cable for my normal desktop, web, gaming, etc. I want to use the DSL connection for my Virtual Box (VMWare) with XP.

The problem im running into is, when I enable the second connection (DSL), my Windows 7 wants to connect to both of them and everything gets screwed up. Like AIM will work, but web, etc will not. The Windows 7 box has both connections showing in my network and connection sharing tab, I cant figure out just how to make the cable the main connection, and not use the DSL at all. The only way I can get everything working again is to disable the one the DSL connection is on.

Any ideas? Hope that makes sense =)

A computer with two cards can not connect to two independent Internet connections.

Virtual computer does not have its own hardware network card, in order to work its card has to be working on the host, as said above the host can do two independent Internet connections.

Somehow I got it working. My desktop using intel nic on cable, vmware box using the realtek nic on dsl. I think it has something to do with I found on another site how to prioritize your nics. Now main is using cable IP, vmware is using dsl ip

bridge makes it seem like it has its own hardware network card
