Is this wannabe $6 burger any good? Not sure if I'm willing to break my no-McDonald's rule. :)

Wouldn't be a fast food HD thread without the obligatory "OMG that's so gross you will have a heart attack the first time you eat there!!!" post, would it? Yes, everyone knows fast food is bad for them, but yes, a lot of people still eat it. No one is forcing you to do so as well.

as if its so simple. the country's medical stats speak to an extraordinary rise in obesity that began, rather curiously, around the time fast food franchises appeared. today hundreds of thousands of people die from preventable causes every year despite the glib fact that no one is forcing them to consume this arterial sludge.

if companies did force anyone to eat this shyte, then they would never have been in business, much less stand as the multi-national empires they are today. no, they used far more subtle and sophisticated means to draw in their victims.

I used to eat at fast food places 7-8 times a week. I am not dying.

Looks pretty good, especially the one with bacon. Might have to try this tommorow.

Anyone know the actual retail price?

Well, I've tried to eat healthier lately (actually, kinda had to after I had an unfortunate run-in with a gout attack...and no I'm not an old man either, grr) but still, fast food isn't quite the devil if you have some self control and order the healthier items. Sure they'll still have way too much sodium but they're not nearly as bad.

Of course this particular burger is probably a bypasser =p

My local price it at $3.7

Angus Third Pounder comes in the Angus Deluxe, Angus Bacon & Cheese and Angus Mushroom & Swiss

$1 off makes it $3, that pretty cheap.

I've always taken notice to the ccorrelation between obesity and the advance of technology.

"I used to eat at fast food places 7-8 times a week. I am not dying."

Yet....give it a little time to work it's magic.

Maybe you should switch to McRice burgers. I don't hink we have them here yet, although I rarely eat fast food any more, so not sure. The ticket to Thailand is extra, scenery and people, priceless.

I don't eat McDonalds much (in fact almost never), but whenever I go traveling abroad I always make a point to go to McDonalds and try something different. Always interested to see what they come up with. The Ebi Filet-o in Japan was awesome!

Where are the test markets? I went to a McDonalds this afternoon and the guy acted like I was asking for health food or something. He was dumbfounded.
