Hey guys, for some reason, I get almost exactly a 1 min delay after resuming from a basic XP screensaver as soon as I hit enter after entering my password. It stays in a blank screen for that period and finally resumes with my desktop icons etc.
The system is a 1.6ghz duron with 256mb and has a fresh XP installation. All I've done is install Office XP and copied my data to my docs. There are no spyware, no virii and the system has a manually assigned IP address. No network drives mounted either.
My screensaver settings are to enter the screensaver after 1 min of inactivity and to request a password upon resume. I can have apps open or everything closed. No difference.
It's really annoying and I've been able to reproduce this on another machine. Very weird and can't find any reason for this. What could be the cause?
