It's hard for a 17 year old to give up guaranteed poon, really really hard. What I'd do is take him on a tour of the college you want him to go to and let him see all of the potential poon that awaits him. His choices have been really limited so far but college really opens up the poon opportunities to a level he will likely never see again. But I'm sure he is in "love", which tends to happen when you first start getting your pecker wet on the regular, so that will have to be overcome.

The PSLF program is complete garbage. People game the system and it constantly pisses me off.
I took out loans to pay for school, graduated, got a job and paid them pack in 8 years. The problem is all the people that get the garbage degrees and cant get any other job other than flipping burgers and serving coffee. Sorry, but i should not be paying for your lack of ability to investigate the earning potential of your underwater basketweaving degree.
That program should certainly not be allowed to be used by people that have high paying jobs though. If that is the case, i would like a check for all the interest i paid into my loans.

I don't disagree about him being a dick and exploiting the system but kudos to him for figuring out how to do it and successfully implementing it.
I actually remember buying a $19.99 blu ray and feeling fairly guilty about it because technically the money I used was loan money and some fraction of a percentage of that money will more than likely be forgiven. Welp, thanks taxpayers.
