$1 million dollars

A local Dairy Queen has a sign up saying "$5 Buck Lunch."
I routinely read it aloud as "Five-dollar buck lunch" just to ridicule it.

One of these days I might get the nerve up to pull in and order a "five dollar-buck" just to see how they respond.

One million dollars dollars. Why do some people write it this way?

When I saw the thread title my first thought was "one million dollars dollars, I gotta read it just to see if somebody called him out on that." Drives me crazy to see stupid stuff like that. Like people will write 5" inches, or .25 cents......

Remember when a million dollars used to actually mean something special?

Nowadays it can barely buy you a single decent home.
