OK. This wireless shite is driving me nuts.
I am in need of information.
I have to set up a wireless network at a distance of one mile.
There is a direct line of site. My question is what is needed on both ends.
Cost is a real factor, work is not. I do not want to "build" the antenna.
I have been looking at the D-link ANT24-1801.
If I am not mistaken I will need 2 antenna, one router and one bridge.
Is this right?

I feel so stupid.

Cost is a real factor, and I do not want to "build" the antenna. Do not go together.

The Entry Level Antennae business is not wide spread in order to be inexpensive.

Reasonable prices.

Link: A selection of aux. Antennae, Cables, and Hardware.

Self Built.

Link: Antennas / Range Boosting

The amount of hardware depends on how you want to run each location.

If both sites have to be wireless within, you need two bridges and two Routers.

one mile should be fairly easy do do with line of sight...Now 35+ miles on a homemade antenna is more amazing to see.

Jack,
I should have been more direct. When I said cost is a factor, I was thinking less than a grand.
The link you provided was just the answer I was looking for.
A bundle that is designed to work together at one place for one price.
Are you associated with this company? If you are I would like to give you credit for the sale.
I will be placing an order today.

Thank again.
I will have to look at the can idea.
