Ok? Can I make it any clearer.

No, Sony isn't worried about Wii. Wii isn't being launched in Japan until Dec 2nd. This gives PS3 time to continue building systems for 3 weeks and ship them. Got it?

Yes, I may have been retarded for a few minutes there. Read your question wrong the first time. In any case, Wii > PS3

EDIT: Since you're obvious not very bright...I was asking a QUESTION. I didn't say 60/40 was what the split is, I'm asking what it is. I said "i mean if" IF is the key word here. Use some intelligence please before replying again.

Aflac was pretty clear too... we don't know the breakdown of PS3 in US vs Canada either, but for some reason you're comparing US Wii to PS3 North America... I'd guess that the breakdown will be similar for both systems, so you can assume that Wii will have a hell of a lot more units on American (United States) shelves on launch day.

And doesn't anyone care about MEXICO?????

Edit: I don't know what the breakdown is, apparantly they haven't announced it, but it's a fair bet that the US will be getting 90% or so based on population.

I'm not sure about you people. I swear. I didn't compaire the two..the article did.

"?When Sony came out (with their PS3 announcement), they said 300,000.""

My reply was to the quote saying that PS3 only announced 300K.

FYI I didn't realize that Mexico was released on the same day. Colombia is also. So you have made a good point, it's not just the US and Canda that splits that million.

I'm just saying they are condeming PS3 for their launch unit numbers, but I wondered what theirs actually is. They don't say "in the us" they include the whole NA.

I'm just seeing what the real breakdown is. That's all.

Settle down Wii Fanboys. I'm an xBox 360 owner and I love comp. I'll end up buying one for my son for xmas.

Forgive my ignorance, but is Wii supposed to really be all that much better an evolution of Nintendo products???

I agree that Xbox360 is nothing to write home about and my PS2 does pretty much everything I want it to do.

I assumed I'd wait 'til PS3, but having 2 kids, I might consider checking out Nintendo's latest offering if it's really something to write home about.

Depends on what you look for in games. If you need HD resolutions and lifelike graphics to enjoy a game, the Wii is not for you. The Will will be faster and have better graphics than the GameCube, but it's not a huge leap ahead.

The main appeal of the Wii is the controller. It's an entirely different gaming experience. If that appeals to you, maybe the Wii is for you.

Nintendo has been clear for a long time that they're focusing on gameplay, not graphics.

I wee on the Wii, as it's going to be a flop I'm tellin' ya'.
The controller is its' downfall............. The End!

Ask yourself if you'd invest stock into that unit alone? Better yet, think not!
Not Bias with Nintendo, MS or PS......... it's another bomb is all I can say. Blame it on the controller.
Think of the best game out today that you like to play that's new and then try to imagine playing it with the Wii controller. You will be one pissed off gamer dealing with one fk'ed up controller!

Edit: I'd really like to be quoted on this..........

It's a good thing that I think so many of the "best games today" suck. I'm excited about games with brand new gameplay, even if the characters are the same old Nintendo's classics.

I'll tell you what, you stick with the endless WWII shooters, GTA rip-offs, Gran Turismo/Need for Speed racing clones, EA Sports Extreme Badminton versions 2007 through 2015 and I'll try something very different that looks fun. I promise I won't be one "pissed off gamer" if I don't get to try the latest plain-jane 3d shoot 'em up that just slightly deviates from the same formula the industry has been milking for years.

I totally understand but you live in "todays" world where the games that most people desire and play are in the NOW, a new controller like this will not suffice. Like I said before...... Take this game for example (Call of Duty 2) and imagine playing it on this controller. Most games are Doom, COD, etc. type.
If the Wii does not fail, it will be because Nintendo or some other outside developer presents a "new" type of controller.

Have you even read/heard the impressions of the new controller? Most people that have tried it love it. I think the simple fact that a huge number of people are highly interested in the Wii and it's new controller shows that people DO desire such a thing.

Dude, Call of Duty 3 and Fry Cry are coming to the Wii, using the new controller. Take your prejudice and ignorance elsewhere.
