1 gig memory at 2100 or 512 at 2700

it down to this a 2100xp cpu with 1 gig ddr 2100 or an overclocked 1600 cpu at 166 fsb and 512 mgz ddr? what is better?
 
It depends on how far you're going to overclock the 1600+ chip, might want to consider a 1700+ and some PC3200 or PC2700...because they tend to overclock like mad. On the other hand, going with more RAM is always benficial depending on the tasks you are going to do...but if you can get by 512MB or RAM, then I would consider getting faster stuff.
 
It depends on whether you have any applications that use more than 512MB of ram. There's no general answer to this question.
