Damnit... did buy.com pull their $30 off early again? It's suppose to last until the 15th. I keep trying to add it, but it won't show up in my cart. Did it on a friends computer too... no luck. Any of you guys can verify for me if it's still working?

[update] Just went ahead and placed my order... then called up customer support and got them to add the coupon... don't forget to go through ebates to save another 2%. Total came out to $224.95 shipped. $264.95 - $10 (digital neighbors gift certificate) - $30 coupon. If I get the 2% rebate, it should come out to $220.45.

The CSR told me they were having trouble with the coupons. So call them up and tell them to add it manually if you are having trouble.

Where do I find these Buy.com coupons? I haven't seen mention of them anywhere on their site.

** NEVERMIND!!! I'M SUCH AN IDIOT! Just checked my saved email and found a coupon they sent after my last purchase from them.

Save your selves some trouble and buy the stuff from Step Thermodynamics with a motherboard and ram and mebbe a couple of extras... they got very good prices for all of the components withought any hassle if you are buying a cpu and cooling system combo... prolly will be better off with those... hope i am right .. (I hate getting yelled at in an on-line forum!!! :p ) :)

Here's another vote for Step Dynamics. My friend recommended them to me, but I wanted to get my own stuff (so I could choose my own heatsink and what not) but ended up just getting the retail stuff anyway.

Yes, I've had a horrible time dealing w/ Comp-U-Plus and their rude jerkoff NY attitude.

I've gotten retail boxes taped, ripped and crushed, thankfully w/ the product in working condition (video card). Called them, they told me its not their problem. It obviously didn't occur while shipping b/c the other products in the box were fine and the shipping container wasn't damaged.

They SUCK!
