MAn, this stuff costs if it's for a notebook. I guess I got spoiled.

But my new Costco refurb (well, new to me) HP ZX5078cl has only 512 mg.

I gather that there is a stick of 256 accessible from a little hatch on the bottom.. I want to eBay it and get 1 GB for a total of 1.25. It wont run Flight Simulator 9 and even freezes on Silent Hunter 2, and this is with a 3G P4.

Anyone get a decent deal on a 1 GB stick recently?

Called Fry's; it's called Outpost when online I learned. Went and got one on order. 173 bucks with sales tax. They say I am number 64 in line...they expect them to be shipped anytime from the manufacturer, days perhaps, with more than enough to cover the backorders.

So I will wait....

Um, spend a bit more get Kingmax or Crucial from newegg. Life time warranty. About 200 dollars shipped.
