Sheesh, you can get 1GB of DDR PC2700 for about $100 right now. RDRAM may be the fastest, but it sure blows when it comes to value. $480? Ouch.
 



Somehow, I think I need to convince you to buy DDR. But hey, if you got the cash why not.
 
i am stuck with the dell 8250 but really have no money to buy the expensive memory.. 🙁
 
sell ur dell and get a 4550 for $400ish, then upgrade to 1G DDR (like I did, $68 for 512M PC2700 Micron).
 
wow, i was just about to threadcrap about rambus ram, but five other members already took care of that. good job boys!
 
i really liked my 8250, but because of the price or rdram, i sold it. With 256 megs of ram, alt-tabbing out of ut2003 took almost a minute because of the file swapping.
