Very cool!
And their designed to be integrated rather then stand-alone. Would be cool to see one integrated on a mini-itx board like the Epias

Yeah I thought about ITX when I read the article, but 1.5 gigs isn't enough storage for much - unless you plan on making a web-TV. My interest will perk when these things get to the 10 gig range (for an MP3 player), and 80 gig (for a TiVo appliance). Still very cool, though.

Yea, 1.5 is on the small side ... but it's stiil about 280 5MB mp3 files (if you squeeze your OS & swap in under 100MB
At the prices their talking though, maybe put to of em. And they are supposed to be working on a 4GB unit which is getting reasonable.

It's kinda funny hearing people bitch that 1.5GB is to small to be useful though ... the first computer I had that actually had a HD was a 486 with a 120GB HD! After living off of a pair of 3.5" floppies for 4 years of undergrad, that was HUGE. I tried to find one with a smaller drive so I could start eating again a few weeks sooner 🙂

Of course, nobody was storing digital music & video on their drives either...

Defragging and running virusscan must have been a bitch!
🙂 j/k

hahaha, yeah, i noticed he said GB too, figuring the way prices were, that 120GB hard drive at that time prolly set ya back about $25,000? lol, i assume he meant MB... i actually have a IBM PS/2 system that still runs to this day, 286 processor clocked at 11MHz with 512KB of ram (thats right, half a meg!) and a 20MB hard drive! anfd it has about 10 games installed on it, Indianapolis 500 motor speedway, liesure larry II, snarf, wheel of fortune, math blaster plus, mahjongg, sim city (the ORIGINAL), midnight rescue and a few others.
