1 Dead, 10 Injured on Disneyland ride

Weird...everytime I ride a ride someone dies on it a couple months later. I was at DL over Christmas. When I went to Six Flags junior year there was a water ride I rode about 8 times over and over again - a couple months later someone died on it.

holy crap, you must be the center of the universe!

Why are all their rollercoasters so damn old? I'm all for nostalgia, but haven't there been some safety advances in the last 20-30 years that would have helped avoid something like this?

My friend used to work there. It's so funny how they call all the workers "castmembers". Even outside of work, he refers to himself and his peers as the cast or castmembers.

probably. but they wont feel like they need it is my guess. these disneyland rides have been reliable for so long, and they are so slow that there was probably not much risk of accidents. if you compare disney land rides to larger amusement parks, its nothing. i always thought disneyland was really safe. :\

When you consider how few accidents DL has had, I'd think it's safe to say that it's still a safe place.
