1 Day contact lenses

Does anyone have any expierence with 1 day contacts? What is the difference in cost between the 2 week and the 1 day? I used to wear the 2 week kind but all the soaking etc. every night got annoying. Plus I loved the way they felt when you first put them in after that they felt worse each day. I am told that the 1 day contacts don't have this problem, its obvious why. I want to get lasik but until I can afford it I am looking into this type of contact. Any suggestions?

my presciption is so high only one brand in existence makes my contacts and they're the 2-week ones. I also have astigmatism. I curse my bookreading ways and my brother, bf, guy friends for getting me hooked on computers and video games. 🙁

i wish I knew what it was like to have daily disposable contacts. 🙁

Yep I consider myself lucky, if you can call it that, I have the same prescription for both eyes. I only have to buy one box of contacts.

Dailywear contacts dried out too quickly when I tried them. They began to feel uncomfortable after only like 7-8 hours. While the 2 week wear ones only became dry after 12+ hours. And now with the extended wear contacts, I have no problem with wearing them continously.

🙁 Why the bitterness? 🙂. I bet my prescription is higher than yours (and I believe I do have astigmatism), I also can only use the 2-week contacts. In my case though, I 'd have to blame my genes 😀

PS:  because you like video games

I use 1 day Acuvue and always have - eyes get too dry otherwise. They're comfortable and easy to use but don't know how much more expensive they are than 2 week ones

I use two week contacts, cost me $99 for contacts and check up. my doctor said that 1 day contacts would cost me at least $150 for 6 months.
