it should be like 1 1/2 cup of oatmeal per 1 cup of milk.

If you eat oatmeal, how do you make it?

edit:
Instant oatmeal

A little runny is OK...

Just cook it a little longer if it's too soupy.

Are you sure you're reading the instructions right? All oatmeal I've ever had is made with water - you add a little milk after it is cooked if you want...

its runny if you dont cook it enough. 1/2 cup oatmeal to 1cup liquid is enough to make pretty thick oatmeal

Anyone have a recipie for oatmeal? I had some when I was in Mexico a long time ago...just regular oatmeal with some other stuff but it tased really really good. I know they put some lemon juice in but have no idea what else. Just plain oatmeal with milk tastes so boring.

I use the "quick 1 minute" oats and follow the directions (using water), except before microwaving I crumble in some walnuts. After it's cooked I add a little milk and either turbinado sugar or maple syrup.

I use instant, but, add more regular oatmeal. Just because those packages are small, and another package of the instant makes it too sweet for me. I never measure the milk, I just add it in. Cook it for 2 minutes, or less, add more milk to help cool it down. Good stuff.

For a health conscious guy like yourself, I'm amazed to find you eating instant flavored oatmeal.

Irish steel cut oatmeal for me, cooked with milk and a little brown sugar and honey for some flavor.
