I'm trying to hookup two monitors and 1 television to my computer. I have a Radeon 3870 hooked up to a DVI monitor (monitor 1), a VGA monitor (monitor 2, it's connected through a VGA/DVI adapter), and an HDMI TV. The link below is how it is currently set-up:

I can still see the things on Monitor 2, but nothing is coming through on Monitor 1 nor the TV. If I connect Monitor 1 + 2 directly to the computer, of course it works. If I connect Monitor 2 directly to the video card + TV (via splitter), it also works. But if I only connect Monitor 2 directly to the video card + Monitor 1 (via splitter), I can see things on Monitor 2 but NOT Monitor 1; Windows would detect both Monitors, though. This is the splitter that I'm using from Monitor 1 + TV http://www99.shopping.com/xPO-...I-DVI-D-Splitter-Cable . Is there something I need to do to get this to work?

Thanks for the help.

I had to read this far too any times to decipher...

Although you skipped an extremely important detail, it sounds like all three devices produce a display:
Primary output: Monitor 1
Secondary output: Monitor 2 + TV

I believe it's By Design that you can't utilize the splitter for the primary display.
