Hello,

Is there any driver for this joystick cofiguration?
In windows the drivers are suitable only for at least 2 axis joystick...
Maybe some hack for the windows' drivers?

Thanks.

Isn't there one for 'throttles'? Or maybe it just treats that as a third axis. I dunno.

Besides, couldn't you just have the game (or whatever app) ignore the second axis?

No, the throttle is only a third axis, and besides, I can't just ignore the second axis, if it doesn't exits, windows doesn't recognize the device.

I guess I'm just confused on what you're trying to do. Do you have a 1-axis joystick (which would be, from what I can tell, a 'throttle') that Windows won't recognize, or are you trying to emulate something?

My device is pedals, and my purpose is to make them work well ;)
Like I said in the first message, maybe there's some hack that would help me?

I dunno. Sorry. There's not a ton of support for legacy gameport devices these days, especially, uh, 'unique' ones. :p

Who manufactured this thing? Or are they long since out of business? :p

The manufacturer is CH Products, and believe it or not, they are still working, but they couldn't find a solution for me.

Long shot -- Gameport->USB adapter? I'm certain that DirectPlay can handle a 1-axis 'joystick', if you can get it to talk with it...

The CH products company told me that they 'didn't find a gameport->USB adapter that works with their pedals consistently'.

Blah. :disgust:

It might be time for a new set of pedals.

Two axis two button should allow this to work, the other axis should remain neutral. If it's not, reply back and maybe I can come up with a cable dongle for you to try (assuming your pedals are analog signaling and not digital, a resistor or two in the proper place should make the computer think there's another axis that's in the neutral position)

Terry,
I tried choosing the 2 axis 2 buttons configuration, and as I expected, it didn't work.
How can I know if my pedals are analog or digital?
And can you tell me what is your offer with the cable?

Thanks.
