1.8in ATA connector

I am building a harddrive based mp3 player and plan on using a 1.8in Toshiba drive. The drive is the easy part, the hardpart is finding the pcb connector. It is a 44 pin ATA connector, 1.27mm pitch. I know DDK manufactures them but does not distribute. They told me to talk to a US distributor, but they won't support low orders. I have tried the usual hardware procurement places (digikey, mouser, etc) and am coming up short. Any one have any ideas?
