How far can I extend the standard analog audio signal coming out of my sound card? Where can I get the extension cables with male on one end and female on the other? The longest I found was 6 feet, I would need at least 8 of those, and they're $10 a piece!

gimlids. as sohcrates said, take a trip to Radio Shack, for old technology that you need, RS is a great source; inexpensive as well. Hope this helps. BTW, RS does have an online store if there isn't one located near you.

If you are going to input this into a stereo you probably will have a problem with "hum". Make sure the cable is shielded. R

i don't think you need anymore really. all radio shack extensions are shielded, i get NO hum through my 50 foot extension...so as long as 50 foot is long enough, you should be hooked up

I didn't see the 50ft on the site, just 20 but I'll check our the store and maybe 20 is long enough anyway, thanks.
