1.8 is Willamette meaning a waste of money. $7-8 more will get you Northwood Celeron 2.0GHz that overclocks to 3 GHz, meaning you can use it in most new motherboards. Good chip to wait drop of prices on Intel chips with the release of Prescott in late October.

From my actual benchmarks after replacing a 1.5Wilammete P4 with a 2.2Gig Northwood Celeron, leaving everything else intact, the 2 perform almost equal in 3D performance and the celey is much faster were raw Mhz counts: internet surfing, Windows use etc.
