I ordered one of these from PC club a few weeks ago and finally got it last week. went to install it and it didnt fit. the pegs that hold the plastic retention on the mobo were blocking the hs from touching the cpu. I doubled checked the assembly, tried turning it diff ways, all to no avail. the only way it was gonna fit, was if it was turned so the clips couldnt be used and thats no good.

anyway, I emailed TT and finally heard back from them and theyre gonna send me a new one and ill send them this one so they can check it out. I am pleased with that, very good customer service. anxious to see if this one fits or if maybe asus is using a diff size retention that standard or what. I dont know, the clips fit and it would secure down alright, just those damn pegs kept the hs from touching the cpu.

so anyway, just wanted to warn anyone who was thinking about one of these for their northwood. Ill post when I get the new one and let you know how it goes.

I have heard that the retail p4 heastink sits on there bows the MB to where the aftermarket ones wont work on them. I know my MB is bend, sinks about 1/8th inch lower thant he rest of the MB. YOu might want to check that before you go through the trouble of getting another one that wont work either. You can thank Intel for that fup uck.
