Hey, I have a K7VME board in my cube PC and it says it will only support 1.5v video cards. How do I know the voltage of a video card? How can I know if my existing Radeon 9000 is 1.5v or not? What other voltages are there etc?

Thanks in advance!

As a general rule of thumb:

2X AGP = 3.3v
4X AGP = 1.5v
8X AGP = 0.8v

But I think there were a few cards (maybe 3DFX Voodoo 4 or 5) that did not conform. Someone a little more knowledgeable could help there.

9000 should be 2x and 4x compatible

8x AGP uses 1.5V signalling too - only the voltage _swing_ (the delta between a valid High and a valid Low) has been lowered to 0.8V. This is _not_ "0.8V signalling".

Radeon 9000 does 3.3V and 1.5V signalling (2x, 4x modes); the 9200 adds 8x support.

Your Radeon 9000 should run fine in any system as long as its AGP 2x, 4x, or 8x

I have this same mobo, and it smoked my 8500DV. I thought I had a bad AGP slot, but that's not the case? Just call me stupid.
