I found a mobo I liked, but the specs said it only has a 1.5v AGP port. Does this mean that it can't handle a Geforce 4 card? I was specifically looking at installing the PNY 4600 (GF4). Advice is appreciated!
You are fine the 1.5v agp started with agp 4x any new motherboard is 1.5v and just about any video card that is new is 1.5v
Nvidia cards are as far back as my gts 2 32mb (almost 3 years) are 1.5v
The only one that may cause a problem is the old Matrox G400's. Certain models had a 3.3V AGP so they won't work on the newer Intel 845 chipset boards...
I have used a Voodoo 3 2000 and Voodoo 5 5500 on a DFI AK76-SN, Iwill KA266, Epox 8K7A, FIC AD-11, Abit KT7, Epox 8KTA3+, Biostar M6VCF and MSI 6337 LE-5. No problems whatsoever.
