1.55vcore on 2600+

Well I put in my new Enermax psu today and played around a little bit. I haven't tried to overclock any but right now im running 200X10.5 at 1.55vcore. Is this any bad or good? I like the temps especially because I have stock cooling so I dont hit 60c when playing games I only go to about 53C.

Oh and this is stable. I ran a few games and also 3dmark 3 times.

What is default core??? This is a 130nm barton chip??? I thoughtt they were 1.6v stock....normally 10% over stock voltage is fine which should make this fine as the A64 90nm chips are 1.4v and his would be fine for that...

Ultimately heat is a factor and while 60c is higher I don't believ it is too high for those chips...

I see....If it was running 1.65v you likely would be gaming in the 60's...

What mobo are you running?? Remember some report much more exaggerated temps....

abit nf7-2, 2600+ thoroughbred @ 200X10.5, geil value series 1gb (512X2), enermax noisetaker 370w those are most of my specs

I believe abits read high so maybe not too much to worry about...they do this on the A64 platform and the p4s so I wouldn't be surpirsed...

Sounds liek you still may have some cooling issues...

1) are you running stock cooler??
2) Are you using the original TIM pad underneath the cooler??
3) How is the case cooling???

yes yes and one front fan and one back fan im going to mod the side panel over my christmas break to put another fan there.

NOt surprising then...work on the case fans, and look for instability...since abits may report high you could be fine...However this is the winter and come summer time those temps will rise....I would like to see low 50's for you to give the headrrom for when thoise temps climb....

I ran 2.2V for 1.5 years... go fiqure😛

I think up to 1.85 is perfectly fine on air with either a t-bird, palomino, barton or a tbred.

Update to latest Bios and change your temps by 15C.

PS. never pay attention to temps but prime95 instead. silicone melts at 1400C
