1.53 GHz Athlon MP's For Sale!!!

No, Newegg has the XP 1.53 GHz. AGodspeed is talking about the MP (ie its certified for multiprocessor usage).

Um, these have been available for a little while now. Newegg has the OEM version for $216.

It's the Multi Processor version (MP), not the XP version (desktops) Dunbar.

Oh, my bad. Is the rumor true that the MP1800's are truly 1.8GHz?

There are rumors that the 1.8GHz Athlon MP part does exist. That's about all we know at this point.

I would bet it's just the 1.53 GHz Athlon MP, a Model 1800+.

Just wondering, but whats the diff between mp and xp?

The MP is certified to Multi Processing. The XP is the new desktop Athlon. It's perfectally capable of SMP but it isn't certified (just like the T-Bird is). Both are based on the Palomino core.

I want to know if the AthlonMP 1.53 is on ceramic or that brown crap!

Yeah, the 1.53GHz MP is on that "brown crap." It's called organic packaging.

i have the tyan board *duel mp*
but it doesnt say the highest it supports...at least i dont remember reading it saying anything... so does that still mean it will support 1.5mp if i buy it?

I dont know if the XP's can run dual processors. They like disabled it. A lot of people are having trouble with it.
