1.5 volt or 3.3 volt?

What would a Ti4200 run on? I only ask because I'm selling a Ti4200 and someone asked me about that 😕
I don't know why that would be a consideration since pretty much everything in the past few years has been the same right?

Pretty sure they'll take either 1.5v or 3.3v.

So, it'd work on an AGP 1.0 spec board (limited to AGP 2x though obviously).

So the card will work on either? Ok... cause this dude said his motherboard only supports 1.5 volt AGP cards.

^ You are correct. They are just confused...

^ This is also correct. You can run newer AGP 4X cards on old AGP slots, and they do default to AGP 2X. This isn't what the buyer was asking, however.

Most likely the buyer just read one of the warnings in his new motherboard manual saying "Warning! This board accepts only 1.5V AGP cards. Any other card will damage the slot" and panicked.

'Oh my god! I gotta get me an 1.5V AGP card!' But lucky for him (and you) every GeForce card is 1.5 volts. As is every ATI Radeon card. Yours is most definately 1.5V.

For the record, AGP 2X is 3.3V and AGP 4X is 1.5V.

Generally the 3.3 volt cards only have one notch on the connector, the 1.5 volt cards have 2. Here is a nice graphic:

You can also tell by looking at the pins and measuring:

not quite, if it has two notches, it is a universal card. and will work in both 3.3 and 1.5 volt motherboard.
if it has 1 notch on the left side (back of case) , its a 3.3 . if it has 1 notch on right side (close to ram), its a 1.5
