i dont think they are ever locked because if you think about it 1.4 already has the highest multiplier and they are not going to keep you from underclocking it.

I have a locked one and so do a couple of other people I know. This is 200FSB and 266FSB. Luck of the draw it seems!

My 1.4 TBird seems unlock but have problem going over 1.5 GHz at default voltage.

My 1.4GHz AYHJA 266MHz OEM Thunderbird has it's L1 bridges closed, therefore, it is unlocked. :) I can't wait to test this thing out...<licks lips>

we just checked our stock and we have an OEM AYHJA 1.4 ATHLON 266 that is unlocked as well. interesting.....

Just got my 1.4GHZ Tbird AYHJA core also.

It indeed is unlocked... Mine is also OEM.

My only frustration is that the motherboard is coming and Crucial has my DDR backordered... man I'm anxious to see what it feels like to have this kinda rig :p
