1.4ghz Tbird is 300 W enough?

is 300watts enough or should I go up to 400?

this system is not going to be overclocked either

I had problems overclocking my 1.33ghz to anything past 1533mhz even tho people were getting 1600+ . It seems it was my 300 watt ps but things are running better now with a 430 watt ps....

You might be able to run a 1.4ghz with a 300 watt ps but I would suggest going with a 400 watt ps.

AMD recommends a 400, last time I checked. There are many variances in PSU's out there, and while some may work, some may not....and no, I do not know which will be ok and which won't. You should just bite it and get a 400 Watt.

here is amd's list of approved powersupplies, there are several 300 and 350 watt ones among them that should work fine with 1.4ghz
