Hello I am upgrading my processor. I have an MSI K7T Pro2-A. Here are my motherboard stats. What is the fastest computer that I could possibly put in it? It says it supports up to 1.2GHz but could I put a 1.4 GHz T-Bird in it and "overclock" it to 1.4?

I have an ASUS P3V4X which ONLY supports up to 733 I think. Dropped A 850 in and it runs fine the only problem is when I boot It show a CPU ID error! Other than that It runs flawlessly!

revision: 10C with BIOS version: Award 2.7

is currently validated for the following processors:
Note that only the highest speed is shown. If not otherwise indicated, the lower speed processors have already been validated.

AMD Athlon (Thunderbird, Socket A) 1400MHz (100MHz x 14)
AMD Duron ( Socket A) 1GHz

If your BIOS is flashed to the latest code then you can run a 1.4G Tbird. Over clocking would only be possible by FSB adjustment.
