Will these three computers help the race? Also will it bring down performance on them if i put that program on?

Bring it on!!! 🙂🙂🙂

There should be no issue with performance as Seti runs at times when the computers are idling...

There is however a problem with Outlook 2000 it seems... I need to turn off SETI when I use it...

EDIT: MY recommendation is to try it though with whatever programs you use as YMMV

Why Certainly! 🙂🙂🙂🙂
I run the same setup mostly 🙂
I get an avg of 8-9 WU's per day, all systems being used without any ill effects.. Use the CLI and setidriver and set the seti priority to low.
Seti will tone down as soon as it detects system usage. 🙂

p2 400@450
p3 1gig (no internet on this one)

That would be a big help! 🙂
The command line version (CLI) runs faster but does may Outlook 2000 stutter. Other than that, you won't notice a thing. If that is an issue for you you can turn off the CLI when using Outlook or use the GUI version which doesn't have this issue.

Thanks! 🙂

They would be a big help! 😀

There are a few known issues, Outllook2000, etc., but as each PC is configured so uniquely, I would recommend that you run the program and evaluate it for yourself. If there are problems while you are running other apps, just run it when the PC is not being used. 😀

Note: Not everyone has problems with Outlook 2000 and Seti. I've not experienced it here, but some have.

There's only one way to find out... 🙂

Welcome! As long as you keep its priority level on "Idle" you shouldn't see any performance hit. There have been reports of problems with Outlook and Norton AV Corporate Edition. Note, Outlook Express and NAV Personal Edition play fine with SETI. Other than that, you shouldn't have any problems. Those systems would be a great help for the TeAm! 😀
