1.4 athlon fsb266 in fsb200 only mb possible?

hi guys, i have a gigabyte 7zx-1 which only supports fsb200 speeds. i'm trying to upgrade from a 800 duron, but it's ridiculously hard to find a fast fsb200 cpu, almost all are fsb266. is it possible for me to use a fsb266 cpu and have it automatically run at fsb200 on my motherboard? thanks

Yes, it'll work fine. However, it won't run at its rated speed without modding the cpu.

thanks, does that mean i can run a athlonxp 2100+ in this motherboard and take advantage of the faster cpu cycles, even though it'll running at a slower fsb rate?

you should be able to get a 1.x (where x<6) duron that runs natively at 200fsb.
