1.3ghz ram instead of 1066mhz?

I'm looking to upgrade my Mid 2010 Macbook Pro 13" to 8gb of RAM.

I have a couple of BB gift certificates burning a hole in my pocket, and BB has 1.3GHz DDR3 SoDIMM Laptop Memory Kit on sale at about a hundred bucks. (Corsair CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9)

The laptop is only rated to 1066mhz DDR3 ram. Anyone have experience doing this? I assume the faster RAM will just run at 1066mhz right?

Thanks for any input!

It may not work. Even though the RAM is overspec'd, if it doesn't list the right timings for slower operation, it may fail on a Mac.

This is esp. common on RAM popular with gamers.
