1.396 VID on 2500k according to HWMonitor?

According to HWMonitor, the VID of my 2500k under load is 1.396 V, which seems a tad high? It's overclocked to 4.4 GHz with max temps reaching 70-72 in BF3.
Is HWMonitor correct, and if so, is there an easy way to set a max voltage in BIOS? My mobo is Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3.

The VID isn't really important. It's just what the chip wants to run at ??x multiplier under current conditions.

The important thing is what vcore are you feeding the chip? What does it show under load with cpuz or HWMonitor.

Looks ok to me as long as your temps are under control and you have stability.

No stability issues, but I'd like to lower temps if possible. If it runs 4.4 with a lower vcore, it seems silly not to try that.

I was tinkering with the BIOS recently and don't remember the settings specifically, but I'll have a look tonight. I don't remember seeing a simple offset mode. Does it matter a whole lot if I disable power saving features and just leave it on a fixed voltage?

Doent mattef a whole lot. Somegimes just c3/c6 cures stability.

Thinking gigabyte calls it DVID for offset vcore.
