Actually a little bit more than 1/3 has been done(33.497%). Lets make the other 2/3 go much faster so it doesnt take another 3 years! :)

That's why I sort of quit.. I coulden't take it any more.. just to slow.. I like to see a job get finshed in less than 4-5 years!! OGR anyone?

You can see by the first plot that the keyrate per day is growing at a phenomenal rate! It says that it doubles in 261 days. With increasing processor speeds too, I predict we will have exhausted the keyspace by Valentine's Day 2002!!! Certainly no later than April Fool's Day! ;)

the thing that bothers me about RC5 is that we can calculate (I should say, estimate) exactly how long it will take to exhaust the keyspace. Therefore, what's the point of doing it? Proving that the encryption is robust? I think that's assumed at this point considering dnet is 2 years into it.

OGR is starting to look more appealing to me.
