FYI: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Sonic & Knuckles were the original 2D sonic games released for Sega Genesis.

Also - while Sonic Generations just recently came out (and happens to be pretty good) - for a long time people considered Sonic Adventure DX to be the only good 3D Sonic game ever made. It originally came out on Dreamcast, before they started making all the shitty ones for 360 and PS3.

Sonic 3D Blast is pretty good too though IMO.

Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing is also pretty fun if you're looking for a Mario Kart type racing game.

I'll be picking up:
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic 3D Blast
Sonic Adventures DX

Edit: Damn, they just added Sonic CD into the mix. I'm skipping Sonic 3D Blast and getting that one instead, lol.

LTD says it's good, but is Sonic Generations worth $15? I'll be playing it with a 360 wireless controller.

Will probably pick it up as the reviews are good and my 4-year old is loving Mario and Sonic right now.

I like Sonic Generations (bought it in the Xmas sale for $9.99 I think) but it gives me a headache AND makes me feel dizzy at the same time, LOL.

I have to play it sitting 5-6 feet away from my (23") monitor - but only for short periods of time. It's just way too much going on on the screen way too fast!

Thanks, I was able to buy Sonic Generations. Played it for a bit and must say it's pretty good so far. The game looks very nice on my 30 inch monitor.

Sonic CD appears to be regular price, though. Deciding if I want any of these...

I wonder what happened to Sonic 2 + Knuckles.....

Sonic CD is a must buy btw... Generations is still overpriced... I'll wait till it's $5

Sonic CD is worth the $5. I'm enthralled with it. Especially since it seems to be compatible with my Xbox 360 controller.

If you still have one of the Amazon $5 promo codes, Generations can be had for $10. It activates on Steam as well.

Sonic Generations is the best Sonic game in 15 years. I paid full price for it and don't regret it. If you're a traditional Sonic fan, you'll love it.

I've never been a big sonic fan. I've tried, and loved Sonic Spinball back in the day so I grabbed that and Generations. It's great!

Even better, I hooked it up to the 3D TV and it has stereoscopic settings right in it and played at 1080p @ 60hz :D and was pretty damn cool! Definitely a thumbs up.

BTW these games work fine and auto configure with any USB controller. I am able to play them with a PS2 controller with no issues.

And to think I'm playing it on my 55in TV, approximately less than 10ft away. :\
