1.12 Battlefield 2 Patch

Damn, first EA/DICE release BF2 as a ramwhore, and now, with 1.12, Special Forces games won't start for me. It'll do "Joining Server" then just blink and go back to the server browser, anyone else getting this?

So what's the deal with this game? I never got the game, I just play the demo, because I had heard it was a massive letdown.....anyone have details?

Its not a letdown, just a feat of horrible coding, RAM leaks, patches that break more than they fix, the like.

bf2:sf updates the game to 1.1 status so if you had 1.12 installed before sf it pushes back to 1.1 requiring you the reinstall 1.12

SF is what's broken, I installed SF after I patched to 1.12 anyways. Stupid stupid EA.

Doh, meant to say I patched after I installed SF 😛
I only found out about the patch after I had installed SF, I just reinstalled the patch yet again, its still not letting me connect to any SF games (and yes I'm starting the "green" BF2)

BF2 is shoddy, inefficient programming at it's best.

you might want to try reinstalling bf2 then sf then 1.12

I went:

BF2 1.03->BF2:SF 1.1->BF2 1.12
