I said the same thing whne someone picked up on this at FW. The new Duron makes this totally worth it

These (or a reasonable facsimile thereof) were on sale for $100 (after $100 MIR?) the week they opened the new Las Vegas Fry's. Now that was a killer deal. I wonder what Mallwart charges for shipping.

Linux makes an adequate desktop operating system these days, though it certainly isn't as easy to set up as Windoze (I'm typing this on Redhat 7.3 Ximian- I could have just as easily have chosen to boot XP or SuSe 7.2 on this KT133 Duron 1.2 GHz box). Both SuSE and Redhat work well with a cheap $10 Lucent internal winmodem (though it was kind of a pain to get it to work).

I thought the old deal was for a celery? Regardless, I'm interested in it now...

anyone know what motherboard this has in it?
