Man, what a difference a good heatsink makes...! I have an AMD Athlon TBird 1.0GHz, AVHAR stewpping, on an Asus A7V, with 256MB Crucial ram, and a GeForce2 Pro. Up until last week, I had a GlobalWin FOP 32-1, which was a more than adequate heatsink. Sometimes my CPU temp went as high as 50 C, but it was usually around 45 C. However, I couldnt overclock for beans. As soon as I hit 1050MHz, things froze up. Well, last week, I got my ThermalRight SK-6 (I made another post about it when I got it) My CPU temp stayed around 38-40 C. So, I decided I'd try overclocking with this new HSF. How does 1.31Ghz @ 43 C sound?
