beware that princo discs are notoriously low quality and most people prefer Riteks which can be had for the same price in bulk.

All Media Outlet has these cheaper w/ free shipping but the minimum is 50 discs (there are 10 and 25 packs but you don't get free shipping).

if you don't mind 1X, you can get Riteks for cheaper than this.

I'm glad you found this deal useful for you. Too bad I don't have a CD-R/RW yet.

Princos are typically 1x. They work fine in my Apex standalone DVD player and my PS2.

$1.00/disk is great for single disk buys. Bulks prices are as low as $0.94/disk + free shipping (100-packs).

Of course, if you just want DVD-Rs, $0.79/disk is good too.

I believe there's a couple other places with Cheap DVD-Rs, but I can't recall the links.

I tried both ritek and princo.. and my apex 5321 does not like the princo. it freezes and skips during the last few chapters. Never had any problem with ritek (G03) though.

Shop4Tech is another bulk seller.

dvdrhelp.com forums have a lot of information in regards to media, and they are working on a DVDR/RW media quality database, but it is in its infancy and needs more reviews submitted.

The DVD-Rs from PC Club have been Sony's able to do 2x...25pk for $19.99 or 50pk for $39.99. Here's the thread.

Beware of Princo, its the bottom of the barrel media. I'm only buying Ritek myself.

I have tried both Princo's & Ritek's & have not had a problem w/ either on my Pioneer 04. Worked well w/ my Apex, Panasonic, and Toshiba DVD players.

You definatly read wrong. Princo is the bottom of the barrel. Also, $1 a disc is *EXPENSIVE* for princos. The average price for spindles of 100 on media websites is $69+shipping, and can be had for less with some digging.

After going thorugh a 25pk of Princos myself, then moving on to Ritek G04s, I can say that Princos don't totally suck, but they just aren't as compatible with standalones as higher quality media. For instance, the Princos I burned would work fine in all the pc drives I've tested, plus a Mintek2110, Sony NS300, and Koss KD250. For the most part, however, they wouldn't read in non-superdrive TiBooks and PS2s. The Ritek G04s I bought can be read in all of the above, including PS2 and TiBooks.
