The 830 is very pretty. If i had an iPod it would be a nice match, they would look good together. I like the fact that up-grades can be bought for different board form factors.
The add copy says up to 8? NO 9! 120mm fans. Wow! Put wings on it and use it to commute.

It is good looking. But,alas, i hate doors. Working with tool boxes and benches that have doors allways getting in the way, bumping into them when in a hurry and forgetting they are open has caused a deep prejudice toward doors on working equipment. *sigh*

I did a quick search for price and found nothing.

Dude that 830 is fugly. So many LED lights! I like the original stackers better in terms of looks, but on the other hand that 830 looks like it could cool a nuclear reactor.

I think I read somewhere that the door is easily removeable

SHOULD be in nov AFAIK

That's what I've read; I hope the pricing isn't too bad. ~$200 is what I'm thinking for the list price.. maybe ~$175 from the egg?

lol i guess my thread inspired this one...

anyway thats a tough choice you have there, obviously the 830 will have much better airflow, but i bet it can get loud if you load up all the available spots with 120's, while on the other hand the P-180 seems to have excellent cooling, and stay fairly quite.

me myself if i where in your position (assuming you not thinking of watercooling like i am ) would go with the 830 just because of how insanely awesome the cooling on that thing is! plus i think it looks better then the p-180..

The Thermaltake Xaser III has seven fans in it and its not that loud. I'm guessing 9 120mm fans wouldnt be any worse than 7 90mm. Besides, you dont have to have all nine fans installed. Could go with any number up to nine. Makes it rather configurable which is a nice feature. I think its a very interesting case. Gonna keep my eye on this one for my next build. Thanks for sharing the link.

Several things to think out before deciding between those 2 imo. WC'ing? Components? OC'ing? Your preference on looks? Sound/Noise? If your preference is based on looks than I say go with what looks best to you. IMO you cant go wrong with either when pertaining to "function." The CM is good looking to me...one of the 1st CM cases I have felt this way about...It has quite the expandibility/upgradeability, but as in any pc enclosure, is not future-proof. Throw some components "out there" and give some of your "possible" preferences as to what you want out of your next enclosure. You have chosen 2 very nice cases...nice to be able to pick between those two! Keep me posted on where you are leaning :)

Should arrive 11/20/2005 give or take another week to get to resellers.

We have the samples in and it's really nice.

Anybody have a update on arrival date other than this?

You have to scroll down to response #22 in the thread for the CM stacker 2 Flash Video

WinRAR format

If you go down the thread a ways (past #22) there are some pics....
man this thing was suppose to come out a long time ago...
wonder if it really is gonna come out by the 20th of Nov? Don't want to wait till Xmas to get this...

That sounds horrible to me.... Even the 3 fans in the p180 sounded bad. Why would you want so many loud and annoying fans inside the case? I only use one of the 3 fans that came with the p180 and im even thinking about turning that one off as the temps. are fine.

that 830 looks intense.
I love the possibilities it allows for.
If I were to leave SFF for a full size solution, it'd be for watercooling, though.

I also think the Antec looks awesome. Definately a difficult choice to make.
Big cases have changed a lot in the past couple of years.
