.09 u Athlon 64 CPUs WHEN?

Mobile 90nm chips have been shipping in volume for over a week. Desktop 90nm are scheduled to ship sometime this month. Server 90nm are scheduled next month...

So estimated arrival of desktop .09 chips are early/late october in retail stores then. I hope the yield is good.

I'd say arrival late September for desktop...of course if they have more problem with their new SAP, we could see a couple of weeks added to that...sigh...

There will be socket 754 90nm CPU's, correct? If not, that changes my plans to get a Chaintech VNF3-250. 😀

benchies...where are the overclocking benchies!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard that most people excpect the CG stepping 90s to get to 2.9-3.0 right off the bat🙂

PS why do the fx 53s have such good clock speed capabilities compared to others like the 35/3800?

I've seen that these are supposed to go to 2.9-3.0 with water cooling. do the 35/3800s go this high or does the fx have other reasons for clocking higher?

another q, when do the nf4 chipsets come out/ is there any reason(overclocking) to get these instead of nf3 if you want to use agp?

well nf4 will have soundstorm 2, and PCI-E.

right, mobile A64s are shipping first, theres a guide done by bar81 around here somewhere, only certain boards have the ability to run mobiles because of the certain microcode mobiles get. i cant wait to see mobile OC numbers.

Soundstorm 2 was a rumor at the inquirer. Everything since then (that didn't quote the inquirer) has said that Nvidia won't make soundstorm 2 until the mobo manufactures are convinced that it adds enough valve to their products to justify the increase in price.

Soundstorm is what originally made me purchase the NF7-S over the NF7. It was perfect time since my Audigy had just bit the big one.
