It turn out that I got a code "PO354 ignition coil D Primary/Secondary circuit malfunction" from the OBD reader.

I'm downloading the 2007~2009 Camry Repair Manual at the moment for $14.99 USD. And, what a rip off for parts these days, the local parts shop wants $102.98 CAD for an ignition coil.

If I recalled correctly my old 1980 Corolla distributor cap ++ rotor ++ the full set of copper core ignition coils cost me $80 CAD in the late 80s.

That sucks, I hate coils. You can buy online for closer to $60 I would guess, I could for both of my vehicles I had to replace all coils in.

PS. Should I replace the spark plugs while I'm at it?

Thanks Skoorb, I'll check on line to see if the price is lower.

How many miles on the plugs? If they're platinum or iridium from the factory I wouldn't change unless you're well on your way to 100k miles.

The spark plugs in my 2002 Maxima were original until a few months ago. They still looked decent. 100k miles.
